Day 1- First Day Tour of Awesome Long Beach

Visit the Aquarium of the Pacific at 9:00 am

Aquarium of the Pacific is a massive indoor ocean which is hi-tech and you can get an amazing view of the water world here. From jellyfishes to sea lions, sharks to sea horses, you get to admire every type of sea creature up close and personal.  The cost for adults is around USD 29 while for senior citizens, it is USD 26 and USD 15 for children. This center remains open from 9 in the morning to 6 in the evening.

Long Beach Museum of Arts is your next destination at 10:00 am

This is a beachfront location with the best snacks and exhibits. Combine a little cultural enrichment with a mid morning snack and enjoy the pop art, mid-century pieces and contemporary work in this field. For adults and seniors, the fee charged is USD 7 while for students, it is USD 6. The museum remains open from 11 in the morning to 5 in the evening Friday to Sunday and till 8 pm on Thursday. Expect to see work by regional artists here.

Enjoy a cosy drink at 11:00 am 

With 30 plus tequila types and 7 firepits, with a tiki themed patio, this bar and pub is more than the run of the mill. With the best of pubs, there is always the comfort factor and this gastropub scores on this. This bar remains open from 10 in the morning to 11 in the evening Monday to Thursday and till 1:00 am from Friday to Sunday.

At 12:00 pm, sports freaks can head to Riley’s

MOLAA is the place to visit if you have a passion for Latin American art and you just can’t get enough of creativity and talent. This museum houses a permanent collection which will leave you spell bound. This museum admits adults and senior citizens for USD 9 and USD 6 for students. The museum is open from 11 in the morning to 5 in the evening Wednesdays and Thursdays and weekends and till 9 pm on Friday.  Rare Latin American art since the 1940s is showcased in the museum.

Go to Banning Museum at 3:00 pm

Constructed in the 1860s, the original house of the Father of LA Harbor, Phineas Banning has seen many changes and is a treasure chest of antiques and 19th century furnishings.Suggested donation for adults is USD 5 and for children it is USD 1. The museum remains open from 12:30 to 2:30 pm Tuesdays to Thursdays and from 12:30 to 3:30 pm Saturday and Sunday.

This garden has been built in memory of Earl Burns Miller, by his wife. Similar gardens in Japan and the US are also there. What is unique about this garden is its educational, aesthetic and cultural wealth.

It’s Battleship IOWA at 8:00 pm 

Battleship IOWA educational museum is an awesome tourist attraction for those who want to journey through WWII, Cold War and Korean War. This center is also called the Battleship of Presidents because it has hosted 3 presidents namely Franklin D.Roosevelt, Ronald Reagan and George Bush. Scorpion is your next destination at 10:00 am

This Soviet era Foxtrot class submarine from the time of the Cold War has been powered by numerous diesel engines. Vessel was used for reconnaissance and training ship for crews  from Soviet states such as Libya and Syria. It is docked next to Queen Mary

Take a walk at Port of Long Beach at 11:00 am
