Enjoy Breakfast at 8:00 am

Omelette Inn is the venue for breakfast in LA’s Pine Avenue region in  Long Beach. Mains here cost between USD 6 to 10 and opening hours are from 7 in the morning to 2:30 in the afternoon. You can order your own omelette using as many as 40 ingredients or try the ones available on the menu.

9:00 am and its Time for the Aquarium

Aquarium of Pacific is where the fun begins at 9:00 am and this hi-tech indoor ocean world is one of the most interesting and unique experiences any traveller can have. Opening hours are from 9 am in the morning to 6 pm in the evening and prices for tickets include USD 29 for adults, 26 for senior citizens and 15 for children. This water world contains every type of intriguing sea creature from fishes to crabs, lobsters and sea horses.

Queen Mary is where you head at 10:00 am

Long Beach’s best attraction is the British luxury liner Queen Mary which has transported everyone from royals to dignitaries and immigrants. You can catch the beauty and magic of the bygone era abroad this schooner which is now a restaurant cum tourist hotspot. Opening hours are from 10 am in the morning to 6:30 pm in the evening. Tours for adults are priced from USD 26 and for children from USD 15. Tours and packages are also on offer apart from enjoying the Grand Salon as a dinner venue.  A relic of the Cold War, submarine Scorpion is also moored alongside the Queen Mary.

Visit the Drum Barracks Civil War Museum at 11:00 am

Suggested donation for Drum Barracks Civil War Museum is USD 5 though entry into this North Banning Boulevard museum is for free. Opening hours are from 10 am and 11:30 am Tuesdays to Thursdays and from 11:30 am and 1:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays respectively.  This is a civil war era US army structure filled with artifacts from the 1860s.

West Coach Choppers will transport you into another world at 12:00 pm

West Coast Choppers specializes in tours where you get to see angular choppers custom made by Long Beach City locals. Showroom is worth a look and there is even a gift shop where you can get souvenirs. This center is open from 9 in the morning to 5 in the evening, Monday to Friday and till 4:00 pm on Saturdays.

It’s Time for Lunch at 1:00 pm 

James Republic restaurant is where you head to next for lunch. Mains here are priced between USD 11 to 26 and the eatery remains open for breakfast, lunch as well as dinner all 7 days of the week. Most of the dishes here are part of New American cuisine though some have a South Asian flavor as well.

LA Maritime Museum is where you arrive at 2:00 pm 

LA Maritime Museum is your next destination. Enjoy the story of LA’s relations with the sea and check out the historic exhibits about ferry building. For adults and children, the entry fee is USD 3 while for senior citizens, it is USD 1. Opening hours of this museum are from 10 am to 5 pm Tuesday to Sunday.

Visit the Long Beach antique market at 3:00 pm 

This LA market is one of its kind and admission fee is around USD 5. Its opening hours are from 6:30 in the morning to 3:00 pm in the afternoon, 3rd Sunday of every month. Check out more than 800 stalls selling everything from vintage postcard to fur and furniture.

Visit Point Fermin at 4:00 pm 

This local community park on the bluffs is the perfect place for a leisurely walk or the watching the kite surgery. There is an 1874 restored victorian lighthouse here which  you should definitely check out. North of Point Fermin is Angels Gate Park where the Fort MacArthur Military Museum is located. You can enjoy this outdoor museum with its secret tunnels and recently restored Korean Friendship Bell.

5:00 pm and its time for a drink

Head out to the classic Irish pub and bar Auld Dubliner which is known for its amazing Irish food and good music. Enjoy a quiet drink here.

Head out for a Shopping Trip at 6:00 pm

Retro Row or 4th street is where you get the best bargains at reasonable prices. From vintage clothing to period furniture, everything here is wonderful for first time novices as well as expert shoppers.

Go to Seal Beach at 7:00 pm

This beautiful venue is where you get to see the most amazing beach kites from lighthouses to sailboats and all the colors and shades you can possibly think of.

This location on Seal Beach is also about surfing and skating and you can get everything from equipment to expert advice.

The USD 1 bookstore is where you go to next. This store has books of every possible genre priced at (you guessed it) USD 1. The book store is open 10 am to 9 pm Sunday to Thursday, 9 am to 10 pm on Fridays and 10 am to 10 pm on Saturdays.

Enjoy  a poetic gelato and drink at Aroma Di Roma at 10:00 pm 

This is the place where the intellectuals of the city hang out and Aroma Di Roma is a great place to grab some delicious pasta and amazing expressos and gelato.

Check out the Hidden House at 11:00 pm 

This rock and roll surf bar is the best place to chill out if you like good music (a well stocked jukebox) and some entertainment (read pool). Opening hours are from noon to 2 am.
